Software Acumen will be exhibiting pure::variants, a toolset for the creation, management and evolution of multiple software variants. pure::variants is being used by major organizations in the automotive embedded sector including Robert Bosch Gasoline Systems and Daimler Chrysler. |
|
pure::variants works by allowing developers to set up a software product line, much like an assembly line, but for producing individual software products. This is done by creating feature models, describing features of all of the products to be developed and their inter-dependencies, and family models, describing the individual (software) elements of the products. Individual product variants are then automatically assembled from family models based on the features selected for an individual product. Any conflicts in the feature selection are resolved automatically where possible or highlighted for the user otherwise. The code, and other artefacts that are generated are completely under the control of the end-user.
Software Acumen is a specialist provider of software tools and services in the field of Software Product Lines . Software Product Line development has be shown to significantly improve productivity, quality and time-to-market. Software Acumen work's with clients throughout Europe to ensure successful launch, implementation and on-going evolution of their software product line efforts. www.software-acumen.com |
